Big shopping events are always a tad overwhelming (even if you're in the business of writing about them). All the promotional emails and push notifications may leave you scrolling through endless product listings—or worse, buying something crappy just because it's on sale.

We sifted through hundreds of price drops and compared them against our expert product reviews and recommendations. Below, we've highlighted the best Memorial Day deals on WIRED-approved gear. We also have dedicated coverage of the Best Memorial Day Mattress Deals, Best Memorial Day Smart Home Deals, and Best REI Anniversary Sale Deals. We'll update this roundup over the weekend.

Updated May 31, 2021: We added a handful of new deals, like Blue Apron meal kits and additional backpacks. We also removed a few expired links. Most of the sales below end tonight (Monday).

Tech Deals

Tribit Stormbox Micro

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K for $40 ($10 off): If you don't need this right away, you may be better off waiting for a lower price—it tends to sell for $30 or less during larger shopping events, like Amazon Prime Day. Otherwise, $40 isn't a bad deal for this streaming stick. It's a good option for people who use Amazon-branded gadgets on a regular basis. Check our guide to the Best Streaming Devices for more help deciding.

LG CX OLED 55-Inch TV for $1,396 ($100 off) at Walmart, Best Buy: This is the best TV for gamers. The 2020 model (8/10, WIRED Recommends) supports Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, and it can handle 4K resolution at 120 Hz—meaning the newest generation of consoles will play smoothly. Every size is on sale; none of them are discounted very often.

OnePlus 8T Android Phone for $569 ($180 off): The OnePlus 8T (7/10, WIRED Review) is a capable, nice-looking smartphone that should be fine for those who want an upgrade but not necessarily the latest and greatest. The screen, battery life, and camera are standout features. It's not a great value at full price, but at nearly $200 less, it's a worthy pick.

Totallee Phone Cases for 50 percent off: Use code MEMORIAL at checkout to save. Totallee makes some of our favorite thin phone cases. They're not as protective, but they're not bulky or obtrusive. There are options for iPhone, Galaxy, and Pixel smartphones.

Tribit Stormbox Micro Bluetooth Speaker for $32 ($16 off): At Amazon, clip the on-page coupon and enter code MMDDPRMT at checkout to save. This speaker goes on sale for around $35 on nearly every shopping holiday. This is a match of a deal we saw earlier this week. It's on our list of the best Bluetooth speakers—we especially like it for biking.

Jabra Elite Active 75T True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds for $150 ($30 off): The Elite Active 75T are some of our favorite wireless headphones. They're durable, sweat-resistant, and comfortable. The sound quality and battery life are both great too.

Apple AirPods Max

Photograph: Apple

Beats Solo Pro for $150 ($150 off) at Amazon, Walmart: The Beats Solo Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) haven't sold for less than this. Despite being a bit older, they're still fashionable, comfortable, and have good sound as well as noise-canceling tech.

Apple AirPods Max for $520 ($30 off): The AirPods Max (8/10, WIRED Recommends) are expensive, even when they're on sale. This is the best price we've seen for them. In his review, WIRED audio reviewer Parker Hall says they're "not without quirks, but in terms of sound, build quality, and features, they are the best noise-canceling headphones I’ve ever tested.”

Apple Watch Series 6 for $329 ($70 off) at Amazon, Walmart: We have seen this deal a few times recently, but it's still a good one. This is the best fitness tracker for iPhone owners. The Series 6 has several helpful functions, like automatic fall detection, blood oxygen monitoring, and workout tracking. Here's our full review.

Fitbit Charge 4 Fitness Tracker for $100 ($50 off) at Amazon, Target: This is the best fitness tracker. Despite being affordable, the Charge 4 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) has features you'd typically find in much pricier gadgets, like GPS and sleep monitoring. This price is a match of the best we've seen.

Garmin Venu SQ Fitness Tracker for $150 ($50 off): Another bright, attractive fitness tracker, the Garmin Venu SQ (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a budget-friendly option that doesn't skimp on features. Things like blood oxygen monitoring are usually limited to more expensive wearables, meaning the value is great. The Venu SQ Music Edition is also on sale, but we don't like it as much.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 for $220 ($50 off): This smartwatch (7/10, WIRED Review) is a better option for Android users than iOS users, and even better for folks with Galaxy devices. While it’s a little bulky and we don’t particularly love its battery life, it is a perfectly capable fitness tracker and it looks great to boot. Just know that Samsung is switching to a new operating system later this year for its smartwatches

Microsoft Surface Pro 7

Photograph: Microsoft

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 for $699 ($260 off): The Surface Pro 7 is a great 2-in-1. It's makes a great laptop alternative with full access to Windows 10, and it makes a decent laptop for watching Netflix in bed. This deal includes the keyboard, though you may want to invest in the Surface Pen too (also on sale). It's also available for cheaper from Amazon, but the keyboard isn't included (it's essential).

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano for $1,500 ($200 off): Use code CLEAR10 at checkout to save. For specs, we recommend the Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD model (part number 20UN005JUS), but every iteration is on sale with the code. This is one of the best laptops you can buy. It feels like a MacBook, but has Lenovo's features and keyboard.

Nikon D750 DSLR Camera—Body Only—for $1,496 ($200 off): This full-frame camera is a bit older now, but it’s still a fantastic option for anyone looking to get into photography or videography. We reviewed the newer version of it here. It was the same price around this time last year; it’s safe to assume that it’ll drop further in the future if you feel like waiting.

Sphero Specdrums for $40 ($10 off): We really like these colorful STEM toys, which transform surfaces into musical instruments. The tiny rings are adorable, educational, and they'll entertain kids (and by “kids” we mean anyone over the age of 3). They're a vast improvement over pots, pans, and a wooden spoon.

Outdoor Deals

Roka Oslo Sunglasses

Photograph: Roka

REI Anniversary Sale picks: There are tons of deals at REI that end tonight. Almost all of them are good. There are camp stoves, outdoor blankets, hiking supplies, and more. The deals end this weekend.

Swiftwick Pursuit Zero Ultralight Running Socks for $14 ($3 off): These are the best thin running socks (though they work well for lots of sports). Unobtrusive and breathable, the socks are slip-resistant and won't make your feet sweaty in warmer weather. They're usually affordable, so getting 20 percent off is icing on the cake.

Roka Oslo Sunglasses for $140 ($30 off): These are on our list of the best sunglasses. The Oslo are super lightweight and stylish, and the hydrophilic nose pads ensure that the glasses stay put while you're sweating in the sun. (Another style from Roka, the Rio Alloy, would be in our luggage on a trip to the moon.)

Maho Tulum Sunglasses for $120 ($30 off): Use code STRIPES20 at checkout to save. These will be included in a future update to our roundup of the best sunglasses. The lightweight shades have a fit system that keeps them in place, and the shiny lenses resist scratches. We also like the Hvar for a more oversized option.

Lo & Sons Hanover 2

Photograph: Lo & Sons

Lo & Sons Hanover 2 Backpack for $143 ($95 off): This is one of the best backpacks around. It's supremely versatile; the detachable insert makes it great for juggling baby gear, an excess of dongles, or one too many camera lenses. It's also made with recycled materials.

Tortuga Setout Backpack for $125 ($54 off): Another one of our favorite backpacks, this is the best choice for carry-on luggage. The bag is water-resistant, with lockable zippers, multiple grab handles, and plenty of room for the essentials.

Targus Octave Laptop Backpack for $10 ($20 off): It's not in our roundup of the best backpacks, but Targus generally makes good gear, and paying only $10 is a steal. The bag is simple, with a few pockets and padded storage for a 15.6-inch laptop. It also has a limited lifetime warranty.

Timbuk2 Lane Commuter Backpack for $139 ($40 off) at Amazon, Moosejaw: In our testing, the Timbuk2 Lane proved to live up to its claims of being water-resistant. It has a built-in rain cover, plus a magnetic front pocket for easy access to the gear you reach for frequently.

The North Face Isabella backpack

Photograph: North Face

The North Face Women's Isabella Pack for $51 ($34 off): This bag might be more accommodating for shorter torsos or rounder hips than some other options you've tried, which is why we recommend it. The lightweight construction, contrasting interior color, and suspended laptop pocket add to the allure.

MSR PocketRocket Camp Stove for $34 ($11 off): This lightweight, efficient, compact stove is perfect for car camping and bikepacking. It's easy to use, and the fuel is cheap. The deluxe kit is also on sale if you don't already have dishes and utensils in your pack.

BioLite FirePit+ for $187 ($62 off) at REI, Biolite: This is one of the best portable grills. It actually doubles as a fire pit (which you may have guessed by the name). It can also recharge your phone! After dinner, you can remove the legs, empty the ash bin, and pack the whole setup away for easy transport.

Gaming Deals

Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse

Photograph: Logitech

Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse for $113 ($17 off): One of our top picks for the best gaming mice, this is super lightweight, comfortable, and fast. It has an impressive 48-hour battery life and can also be charged wirelessly. You can also save on the wireless G305 and wired G203 Logitech gaming mice right now. Both are great options that cost less than $50.

HyperX Pulsefire Surge Gaming Mouse for $39 ($17 off): This is another product that made our cut for the Best Gaming Mice guide. It goes on sale often. It's affordable, but the Pulsefire Surge has all the features you want: extra buttons, quick response times, a comfy form factor, and RGB lighting.

Razer Kraken Kitty Wired Gaming Headset for $130 ($20 off): This headset doesn't usually fall below $130 outside of bigger shopping holidays. It didn't make our list of the Best Gaming Headsets, but the kitty ears and pink colorway still make the Kraken Kitty a popular option among streamers. If your kid has been clamoring, now might be a good time to pick it up.

Photograph: Amazon

FastSnail Grips Joy-Con Controller Handles for $10 ($4 off): At Amazon, clip the on-page coupon to save. These are some of the best Nintendo Switch accessories. They're usually affordable, but this price matches the best we've tracked. They make it easier to press the buttons on your Joy-Con controllers.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat (Various Systems) for $30 ($10 off): This collection includes the first two Overcooked! games, plus bonus content. These titles have consistently appeared on our coverage of the best games. They're particularly fun for couch co-op.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Nintendo Switch) for $40 ($20 off): You've probably heard all about this game by now, and that's because it's really good. We highly recommend it if you haven't played it yet, especially with the physical version at this price.

Death Stranding (PS4) for $20 ($20 off) at Target, Walmart, and GameStop ($18): You can read more about it in our in-depth review, but the summary is: Death Stranding is both fascinating and boring. If you've been itching to give it a shot, though, we haven't tracked a better price than $20.

Among Us (PC) for Free ($5 off): It's not as popular as it was a few months ago, but Among Us still has a massive player base. This game is all about lying, double-crossing, and accusing your friends of being murderous traitors. Good old-fashioned fun! (Pro tip: Although this game is a blast, it has dismal moderation, and the developer has yet to fully implement a fix. Play with friends or find lobbies on Discord, and don't let your kids play it unsupervised.)

Civilization VI Platinum Edition (PC) for $35 ($65 off): This edition includes two expansions and multiple DLC packs. Civilization VI is one of my favorite games of all time. The learning curve is steep, but if you enjoy strategy, it's worth playing. The base game is also on sale for PC and other systems.

Home, Pets, and Relaxing Deals

Home Chef Meal Subscription

Photograph: Home Chef

Blue Apron Meal Kit Subscription for $100 off (applied over five shipments): This offer only applies to new customers. Blue Apron is the best meal kit for most people. The deal is applied as a $20 discount on your first five orders. The large recipe cards are pretty easy to follow, and the meals can be adjusted to suit most dietary needs. The dishes we tried were tasty, too.

Home Chef Meal Kit Subscription for 55 percent off: This offer only applies to new customers. Home Chef is the best meal kit for beginners. The instructions are super detailed, so while experienced chefs will have no trouble completing the step-by-step recipes, the in-depth information is extra helpful for folks that panic at the thought of cooking dinner. The menus are customizable for different dietary preferences (and the food is delicious.)

Flair Signature Espresso Maker for $203 ($36 off): We think the Flair Signature makes the best-tasting espresso out of all the portable maker options we tried. It collapses down into a somewhat heavy case for easier transport. It's user-friendly, simple to clean, and will elevate your vacation java if you don't mind lugging it along.

Google Nest Smart Thermostat for $199 ($50 off): A smart thermostat can help you save money in the long term by making your home's heating and cooling more efficient. It can do things like turn off the air-conditioning when you're gone or turn down the heat when everyone's asleep. Your energy provider might also have a rebate available to save you more cash. Here's our guide to setting up a Nest thermostat. Some colors are sold out.

iRobot Roomba i3+ Robot Vacuum for $449 ($150 off): This is WIRED robot vac expert Adrienne So's favorite robot vacuum. The self-emptying feature helps ensure your whole floor gets a good cleaning, and the gadget will spend more time on troublesome areas too.

Thermapen MK4 Meat Thermometer for $69 ($30 off): Grilling season is upon us. The Thermapen is the “Cadillac of the instant-read thermometer world.” It's simple to use and spits out an accurate temperature reading in only a few seconds. It also might make a great Father's Day gift.

Nixplay Smart Digital Photo Frame for $135 ($45 off): This is one of our favorite digital frames. Download an app and upload your photos to display cherished memories easily. Nixplay has pretty good security features, and it's also user-friendly. We like the Aura Carver more, which is also on sale, but the price was even lower a few weeks ago. Either one would make a good gift.

Layla Weighted Blanket

Photograph: Layla

Layla Weighted Blanket Twin Size for $129 ($30 off): Whether for couch cuddling or solo Sunday naps, the Layla is one of the best weighted blankets on the market. It's bigger than some other options we tried, so you can truly lose yourself in the squished-in-a-good-way feeling. Every size is discounted.

Buffy Cloud Comforter for $135 ($24 off): It hasn't made its way into a guide yet, but we like this comforter a lot after testing it. It's made with eucalyptus fabric and recycled materials, and it's both lightweight and cooling, so it's extra nice in the summer or for folks who run hot while sleeping.

Allform 3-Seat Sofa for $1,595 ($500 off): Use code MEMORIALDAY20 at checkout to save. Allform sofas are pricey, but they are some of the best couches you can buy online. The pieces are modular, so assembly and disassembly are both pretty easy. The stain-resistant fabric holds up well and the cushions are both deep and comfortable.

WIRED's favorite mattresses are on sale: We've tried a lot of beds. It can be daunting to shop for a new mattress, and while they go on sale pretty frequently, Memorial Day is one of the best times to save. We have a separate roundup highlighting the best discounts on our top picks.

Frieda Litter Box Enclosure

Photograph: Wayfair

Frieda Litter Box Enclosure for $140 ($27 off): This made our Best Cat Supplies roundup. It's also a contender for the best thing I (Louryn) have ever tried. Stuck in an open-concept apartment with limited storage space and even fewer rooms? This enclosure will give your cats privacy—and put a stop to the whole “cat pooping in view of honored guest and/or hot date” debacle.

ChomChom Roller Pet Hair Remover for $25 ($10 off): Another indispensable tool in the cat supply realm, this roller quickly removes and collects pet fur from couches, ottomans, rugs, throw pillows, and whatever other surface your cat has decided to lie on. It's oddly satisfying to use it, and the roller is a more sustainable option than sticky paper sheets.

Flexispot EN1 Standing Desk for $290 ($70 off): This discount isn't bad, but the desk was cheaper earlier in the week. This is one of the best desks for working from home. Once assembled, the height can be adjusted to best suit your needs, and there are customizable presets so you can quickly send it moving to the right height.

Health, Beauty, and Apparel Deals

Dame Pom Vibrator

Photograph: Dame

Brooklinen Super-Plush Robe for $83 ($15 off): WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano initially liked this robe because of its Tony Soprano vibes, but it ended up helping her stay calm during quarantine. It's soft, comfortable, and fluffy—all good qualities for a robe. Brooklinen's Boerum Joggers are also discounted (and also incredible). We love their soft fabric and deep pockets.

Dame Pom Vibrator for $81 ($14 off): Use code GOODVIBES at checkout to save. Don't let the cute shape and size fool you. The Pom (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is both versatile and powerful. It's squishy, soft, and waterproof, and the different intensities are even more varied depending on which end is closer to the skin. You can find other options in our Best Sex Tech guide.

MysteryVibe Crescendo Vibrator for $129 ($70 off): The Crescendo is flexible, waterproof, and highly customizable. You can tailor the perfect vibration pattern and intensity using a smartphone app (which can also be used to control the toy itself).

Three Ships Piña Colada Lip Exfoliator for $10 ($3 off): This vegan lip treatment smells amazing and works well. If you’re starting to go out and socialize safely again post-vaccination, you might get to wear perceivable lipstick again. Using an exfoliator beforehand can slough away dead skin and create a smooth, moisturized base for other products (even if that product is a clear balm.)
